Overview

This Whiskey Barrel Aged Coffee begins with select Arabica beans from the Baarbara Estate, grown in the Baba Budangiri hills of Chikmagalur at altitudes of 3,850–5,350 feet. The green beans are aged for 120+ days inside seasoned oak whiskey barrels, slowly absorbing oak and whiskey essence before roasting - a process that enhances depth without adding any alcohol. Roasted medium-dark, the cup delivers rich oak, vanilla sweetness, toasted nuts and a smooth cocoa finish. A true expression of Indian specialty coffee at its most experimental.

THE ORIGIN

Oak-Aged Coffee Craft

Baba Budangiri hills of Chikmagalur - one of India's most celebrated coffee-growing regions - at elevations between 3,850 and 5,350 feet. Shade-grown Arabica cherries ripen slowly under dense forest canopy, building natural sweetness and complexity in the bean. After harvest, green beans are placed inside seasoned oak whiskey barrels for 120 days or more, slowly absorbing the wood's vanilla, caramel and spirit-infused character without any alcohol transfer. This unhurried, artisanal aging process is what sets this coffee apart - no shortcuts, no additives, just time and oak doing the work. The beans are then roasted to a medium-dark profile that balances the estate's inherent sweetness with the barrel's richness, resulting in a cup that is bold, layered and unlike any other Indian coffee.
