Overview
Koraput Natural Crimson Peak comes from Punjsil smallholder farmers in Koraput, Odisha, an emerging Indian coffee region. Grown around 900–1000 MASL, this SLN 9 Arabica lot is processed as an anaerobic natural. Ripe whole cherries are fermented in a controlled low-oxygen environment before drying, creating stone fruit, dried raisin, red floral and dark chocolate notes with juicy red-cherry acidity. With an SCA score of 84.5, it is a bright, fruit-forward coffee that works especially well as pour-over or French Press.
Producer Story
Punjsil smallholder farmers grow Crimson Peak on small plots across Koraput’s highlands. The lot reflects a move toward more careful cherry selection and controlled processing in a region better known for forests and indigenous communities than specialty coffee. Its 84.5 SCA score shows the potential of smallholder-grown Arabica from Odisha when altitude, care and anaerobic natural processing come together.
